Indian Health Services (I.H.S)

Gallup Regional Supply Center is operated by the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS) and is responsible for the delivery of health services to American Indians in portions of the states of AZ, NM, UT and CO (a region known as the Four Corners area of the US). NAIHS is primarily responsible for healthcare to members of the Navajo Nation and South Band of San Juan Paiutes, but healthcare services are also provided to other Native Americans (Zuni, Hopi). The Navajo Nation is the largest Indian tribe in the US. Their reservation, encompassing more than 25,000 square miles in Northeast Arizona, Northwest New Mexico, Southern Utah and Colorado, as well as three satellite locations in Central New Mexico, is the largest reservation in the US.
